[clear]SOLD…. THANK YOU!
Our sabbatical is drawing to a close, and it is soon time to sell our privately-owned/never chartered 2004 Lagoon 470 catamaran, Family Circus. We are a family of 8 taking 5 of our 6 children on an adventure of a lifetime across the Pacific Ocean. We left in October 2014 from San Francisco and sailed down to Mexico, across the Pacific in 19 1/2 days to the Marquesas Islands, then to the Tuamotus, Society Islands, Tonga, Fiji and are now in New Zealand. We are currently living on the boat and then will make our way up to Vanuatu and New Caledonia for our last bit of Island adventure before unfortunately returning to land life and getting our kids back in school. We have had an amazing life experience for the last two years but now it is time to move on. (You can read about our adventure here) We are posting her for sale now with the goal of finding the right buyer, and the location of delivery to be determined (Australia, NZ, New Caledonia)
You can read about us and how we chose a Lagoon 470 for our adventure here. It is a decision we don’t regret. Family Circus met all of our criteria. As well as being spacious compared to other 47′ catamarans, she is easily handled by one or two people, and copes with a crowd well (we have 8 of us on board in comfort). In addition, she tackles heavy weather with aplomb. Our time and experiences on Family Circus have been very special. She was part of our dream and can be part of yours too![clear-line] She is number 44 of 51 Lagoon 470 hulls made and is the smallest model manufactured at Lagoon’s “big boat” CNB yard in Bordeaux. Importantly, the Lagoon 470 is the style before the flybridge Lagoons, and has a sail plan that makes it a great sailing boat. Having three adults and 4 kids on board made it easy to stay on top of routine maintenance as well as installing upgrades. We will be enjoying and taking care of her through July but then we will have to say goodbye to our 9th family member. We may not be able to be reached so if you are interested and/or have questions please contact Anna at http://nautilusyachtmanagement.com and she will be able to help you. Thank you.
